AMT Sponsored First Robotics Team Places in Detroit Regional Competition and Wins Entrepreneurial Spirit Award

The FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) is a unique varsity sport of the mind designed to help young people discover how interesting and rewarding the life of engineers and researchers can be. AMT sponsored "Team RUSH" in this year's challenge which is called "Rack and Roll". Two alliances of three teams compete against each other to put pool inner tubes on a central goal called the “Rack”. The team seeded 9th, and were chosen by the 3rd seed alliance to play in the finals. The team also won the Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers Entrepreneurship Award.

Starting up a robotic process? Save valuable time & resources with simulation and off line programming.
Free white paper!

Most of today’s robotic system builders utilize robotic simulation to validate process and design, but may not be getting the full value out of the simulation unless they use Offline Programming (OLP). OLP is the use of a completed simulation to generate native language robot programs to fully carry the design intent to the shop floor. This removes much of the burden of figuring out the process and intended robot arm configurations from the robot programmer.

Need to Lower Manufacturing Cycle Times?
Free Top Ten Techniques Guide

Lowering manufacturing cycle times is a continuous challenge. Reducing machine cycle time helps to increase production throughput and profits. Cycle time depends on many factors including conveyors, process times, vision, clamps, tooling, operators, and robots. This free guide from AMT presents the top ten techniques to reduce robot cycle time.

New Low Cost Simulation Consulting Services for Robotic Palletizing

New low cost simulation consulting services for robotic palletizing systems is now available. Simulation consulting can identify potential problems and process constraints and alternate scenarios can be validated in a virtual environment saving costs associated with downtime on the plant floor. With this new low cost fixed fee feasibility study using simulation, customers can minimize their risks by simulating the process before investing in a robotic palletizing system. The new simulation consulting services are available now at the low cost of $3000. Some restrictions apply.
