International Engineering Support
Are you a US manufacturer receiving robot based systems integrated in the far east, Europe
or the Americas? Do you need help translating technical manuals, confirming adherence to US
standards, or cross referencing US market spare parts? Click
here to contact AMT - we have
experts who can help you throughout the process. AMT's reach extends well beyond our
Michigan
base, as our customers pull our robot and controls engineers around the world to help solve
application, programming and process problems. Our international assignments range from days to
months, from emergency operations support to scheduled systems commissioning and startup. We
routinely have teams of engineers in Canada and Mexico, and in recent months we've supported a
startup in Turkey and after 30 hours of travel, an emergency in South Korea.
If you're responsible
for international manufacturing or robot operations, call AMT for design, engineering or programming
support. Some of our best engineers are packed and ready to travel to your site.
AMT Announces New Cycle Time SWAT Team
AMT recently announced its new cycle time SWAT team. The new cross discipline group will focus on
improving manufacturer’s throughput. Cycle time remains the biggest single failure point in robot
systems installations, and AMT’s new team will help integrators and end users to lower cycle times and
increase production in even the most difficult installations. The team consists of engineers from the
simulation, programming, controls and mechanical groups, who utilize AMT's integrated approach to cycle
time reduction.

AutoCAD
Electrical 2008
AMT uses the latest technology in its design processes and AutoCAD
Electrical 2008 is a good example of the latest breakthrough technology.
An open & extendable intelligent electrical controls design package it
allows for more accurate design function in less time. Its comprehensive
symbol library allows AMT to quickly build standards based on controls
design. The package also features automatic wire numbering & component
tagging, automatic project reports and real time error checking plus
much more.

AMT Recognized as Licensed Michigan Proprietary School
Schools in Michigan that teach a trade, occupation or vocation, usually to individuals beyond the high school level,
are required to be licensed by State law. AMT has received its license and is now one of only five licensed schools that teach robotics in the State of Michigan. More information on Michigan's Proprietary Schools can be found at
http://www.michiganps.net/.
AMT is a leader in customized robot and automation training. In business
for 18 years, AMT has the knowledge to train on all major robots and
simulation packages. AMT is able to hold training classes in their 6000
sq ft training facility or at customer sites.

Efector Gets AMT Boost in Software and Pilot Testing
AMT is well known for its application expertise and its ability to provide complete engineering, design and programming services
to facilitate the application of robots and flexible automation. What is sometimes overlooked is AMT's active role in product
development. In our 18 years of operation, we have provided engineering, design and software to robot companies and peripheral
suppliers as they develop standard products. In fact, many of the industry standard application packages for welding, sealant
dispensing and force control were actually developed by AMT teams working side by side with our customer's development engineers. Our latest project is a great example of how AMT can really leverage our experience to speed up product development. AMT was
approached by Welker Bearing for support in taking a novel end-of-arm tool concept to the next phase of productization.

New DELMIA V5 Ergonomic Simulation Training
Ergonomic simulation is a vital tool for assessing and preventing ergonomic stressors in the workplace.
By simulating human operations, we can validate a manufacturers’ process quality & performance and identify potential injury issues to optimize their process. The human factor must be addressed with the same priority
as the mechanical components in order for manufacturers to protect its most valuable resources- its employees.
Applied Manufacturing Technologies will be offering a five day DELMIA V5 Ergonomic simulation training class for those
interested in learning how to deal with ergonomic issues in the workplace via simulation. The class is scheduled for
November 26th – 30th. Space is limited so please register by November 1st to reserve your seat.
