Industry Veteran to Join Automation Industry’s Trade Group Board of Directors

Orion, Michigan — November 16, 2007, – Applied Manufacturing Technologies, Inc. (AMT), a leading supplier of factory automation design, engineering and process consulting services today announced its President and CEO Mike Jacobs has been elected to the Robotics Industry Association’s board of directors. Industry veteran joins automation industry’s trade group in January 2008. The board is comprised of leading industry leaders each serving a two year term.

Mike Jacobs founded AMT in 1989 after a successful career with GMF, now Fanuc Robotics, where he was a pioneer of the then emerging technology of offline robot programming and simulation software. Mr. Jacobs has over 30 years of experience in the automation industry with 25 years directly in robotics and holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Michigan State University and a MS in Electric & Computer Engineering from Wayne State University.
