Michael P. Jacobs

President and Founder

As Founder of Applied Manufacturing Technologies in 1989, and current CEO, Mike is an expert in the robotic automation industry. Prior to AMT, at GMF Robotics (now FANUC), Mike pioneered the product development and market introduction of robot simulation and offline programming systems. Mike earned a BS in Electrical Engineering from Michigan State, MS EE from Wayne State, is a graduate of the President’s Program in Leadership of the Harvard Business School and is a licensed Professional Engineer. Mike is active in the World President’s Organization, the Society of Manufacturing Engineers, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and the Detroit Economic Club. He serves as the 2017 Chairman of Robotics Industries Association. Additionally, he is a Trustee of Beaumont Health Systems located in Royal Oak, Michigan.

Diane M. Haig

Chief Knowledge Officer

As Chief Knowledge Officer, Diane holds dual responsibility for Human Resources and Information Technology teams. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Master of Science in Computer Science from Oakland University. Diane brought 20 years of diverse professional experience to AMT in 1996 when she joined as a software engineer. She is passionate about ensuring AMT’s customers are supported by talented and skilled automation engineers.

Jason C. Koan


As the overseer of all things financial, Jason is responsible for the financial forecasts and statements, managing the accounting department, setting internal controls and financial procedures, cash management, and facility management. He also represents the company to financial partners, the insurance agent, and the CPA firm. He holds a BBA degree in Accounting from Eastern Michigan University.

Craig J. Salvalaggio

Vice President of Engineering and General Industries Director

Craig leads the largest segment of AMT’s automation engineering business. His technical skills in robotic automation combined with a leadership ability led to his current role as Vice President of Engineering and General Industries Director. His strategic mission is to continue driving growth and diversity of the General Industries market segments.

Rick Vanden Boom

Automated Systems Group Manager

Rick Vanden Boom is the Automated Systems Group Director at Applied Manufacturing Technologies (AMT). Rick has over 30 years’ experience in the manufacturing automation industry. His background includes application engineering, sales, and operations management. He has worked for several international companies across multiple industries and has a track record of success in product development and new market introductions.

Troy Schrock

Co-Founder & Principal – CEO Advisors, LLC

Troy Schrock is Co-Founder and Principal at CEO Advisors, LLC, a professional consultancy, and serves as a management and financial advisor to the AMT executive team. Prior to founding CEO Advantage, Troy was a CPA and manager in a professional accounting firm and an independent consultant specializing in emerging mid-market companies. Troy’s guidance has provided key input and guidance to the strategic planning and direction of AMT.
