We’re looking for a designer who has strong electrical and pneumatic aptitude that has the ability to propose multiple solutions to complex automation problems. The right person for this role is confident in their design and troubleshooting abilities. Our ideal candidate can concept, create, and check designs. Job Summary
PLC hardware design & debug for automated systems.

Regular responsibilities include:

  • Proficient with EPLAN and AutoCAD
  • Design hardware with PLC (Allen Bradley), Safety Controllers (Pilz, AB), HMI (AB, Siemens)
  • Concept designs, create designs, and check designs
  • Support project from proposal through build, startup and runoff
  • Troubleshoot electrical and pneumatic problems
  • Work and communicate effectively with project team (mechanical, project manager, build and integration team)

 

Requirements:

  • 10 + years Controls hardware design experience of Robot and Automation Systems
  • Strong electrical and pneumatic aptitude with the ability to propose multiple solutions to complex problems
  • Knowledge of Robotic Industry Association (RIA) safety standards
  • Knowledge of NFPA 79 standards
  • Familiar with FANUC Robots is a plus
  • Familiar with EtherNet IP, EGD, DeviceNet, ProfiBus
  • Confident, self starter with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Possibility of occasional US travel to support projects
  • Travel < 10%
